Wednesday players have been in action for their countries in recent days.

Keeper Pierce Charles played the full 90 minutes for Northern Ireland in a 1-0 friendly victory over Iceland at Windsor Park on Tuesday evening.

This followed a 2-1 friendly defeat to Denmark in Copenhagen on Saturday, Charles playing the second 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Otegbayo and Killian Barrett were in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad for games against Croatia and Qatar. They were unused subs for the opener with Croatia but Otegbayo played the first three-quarters of the Qatar match, which ended 0-0.

Yan Valery has been on international duty with Tunisia.

The defender played the full 90 minutes in friendly fixtures with Burkina Faso and Morocco, Tunisia winning the first game 2-0 but going down by the same score in Morocco.

Completing the Owls in international action, 19-year-old Sean Fusire made his debut for Zimbabwe, coming on for the last 30 minutes in a 2-0 success over Burkina Faso.

He then followed this with a ‘first-time’ starting place in the Zimbabwe line-up against Niger – playing 65 minutes in a 1-1 draw in Casablanca.
