Wednesday’s desperately disappointing home form continued this afternoon with a goalless draw against Brighton.
Our best chances of the first half came via headers from Sergiu Bus and Will Keane – both saved by David Stockdale. We also lost Jose Semedo through injury before the break, Sam Hutchinson coming on as a sub and promptly being booked yet again.
Atdhe Nuhiu replaced Keane at the interval and it was the unlikely figure of Kieran Lee who went closest’to putting us ahead on two occasions in the second half before Nuhiu saw a late effort blocked and then the striker shot over from a great position in front of goal.
Brighton posed a few threats on the break throughbut the 90 minutes but rarely troubled Keiren Westwood and the game ended in a goalless draw, Wednesday boasting only three shots on target and Brighton just two.
