Wednesday have suffered a triple injury blow with Glenn Loovens, Will Keane and Jose Semedo all on the casualty list.
Skipper Loovens missed yesterday’s drab goalless draw with Brighton after getting injured in training and worse was to follow with the news that he has suffered a fractured ankle and is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks, meaning that he might not play again this season.
Loanee Will Keane was subbed at half-time against Brighton after suffering medial knee ligament damage. Stuart Gray says the player will have a scan tomorrow but some reports are saying that he will not play again this season after leaving the ground with his knee in a brace.
Semedo was also forced off during the first half against Brighton after aggravating his toe infection. Gray said it had spread to his ankle and he then took a knock on the injury, forcing him off after 34 minutes.
Gray said Semedo will be monitored during the week in the hope that he will be fit for next Saturday’s tough trip to Derby.
