Changes likely from ‘Ipswich starting eleven’

Darren Moore could make a change or two to the starting line-up from our previous league game as Wednesday look to end a run of three home matches without a win when Wycombe come to Hillsborough tomorrow.

Moore made 10 changes to the side to face Burton in the Papa Johns Trophy in midweek and, while he will no doubt revert to the majority of the team who started against Ipswich last Saturday, the Wednesday boss is likely to tweak the starting eleven as we seek a much-needed three points at S6 and the chance to improve our current fourth spot.

He may well give Lee Gregory a starting place up front, the striker bringing greater movement in attack when he came on just before the hour-mark against Ipswich, while Dominic Iorfa is likely to drop down to the bench after a poor run of form, with Ben Heneghan expected to replace him following his injury lay-off.

Moore confirmed today that Michael Smith and Josh Windass will be back after sitting out the Burton match and indicated George Byers should also be fit to play after missing in midweek with a bruised foot.

Leaders Ipswich are away to third-placed Plymouth on Sunday while tomorrow’s scheduled game between second-placed Portsmouth and Bolton in seventh has been postponed as the latter received three international call-ups.
