Injured trio back in squad and Byers fit to face MK Dons

Darren Moore says the injured trio of Lee Gregory, Dominic Iorfa and Jack Hunt are all fit to return to the Wednesday squad for tomorrow’s home game against MK Dons.

George Byers has also recovered from the dead leg which forced him off at half time in the win against Morecambe in midweek and Reece James is available again, having signalled his return from injury with a place on the bench against the Shrimpers.

Mallik Wilks will not be considered as he continues to recover from his calf problem.

We go into tomorrow’s MK Dons clash hoping to stretch our unbeaten league record to 19 matches and two points behind leaders Plymouth but with a game in hand on them. Bolton are now in third, trailing us by six points and with ourselves having played two fewer matches than them, while Ipswich have slipped to fourth, eight points behind the Owls and knowing we also have a game in hand.

MK Dons sit just one place above the relegation places while in games affecting our promotion rivals, Plymouth entertain Fleetwood, Bolton are away to Wycombe and Ipswich host bottom club, Forest Green Rovers.

Marvin Johnson also faces an FA charge following an off-the-ball incident at Ipswich last Saturday and has until Monday to respond, Moore stating today that the club has appealed over the situation but will make no further comment until the result of the investigation is announced.
