Lee Bullen has called for an improved performance when Wednesday play their second friendly in Germany on Sunday after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to VfB Lubeck on Friday evening.
Caretaker boss Bullen was clearly unhappy with the side’s overall performance, saying the display was not acceptable, and telling the club website: “Our decision-making was off and we didn’t really get going. We lacked a lot of quality choice making.”
Sunday’s game is against Holstein Kiel, two divisions above Lubeck, and Bullen added: ““I don’t want to be hard on the players because they have been magnificent so far but I would like to see a reaction on Sunday.”
Looking at the squad selected for the Lubeck game, Bullen can be expected to change the entire starting line-up for the match against stronger opposition, with the side likely to be very similar to the one which will kick off the Championship season at Reading on August 3.
