Barry Bannan will be available for Saturday’s home game with Millwall after Wednesday won an appeal over the skipper’s red card at Bristol City.
The club made a successful claim of wrongful dismissal for the skipper denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity when he fouled City’s Jason Knight just after the half-hour mark at Ashton Gate at the weekend.
It is no consolation for the fact that we had to play more than an hour with only 10 men in the 1-0 defeat but at least Bannan will now be able to face Millwall at Hillsborough on Saturday.
