Xisco talks of pace and quality of new winger Musaba

Xisco Munoz has spoken enthusiastically about Wednesday’s seventh summer signing, Anthony Musaba, after he joined the Owls on Thursday.

Winger Musaba has signed from Monaco and Munoz said of his latest capture: “Anthony has big capacity with a lot of ability one against one and he is a player who learns and will give everything.

“He has the experience of being with a big club like Monaco and now this is an opportunity for him at a big club like Sheffield Wednesday.

“He has a lot of pace, he is a good crosser of the ball and I think he will be a very good player for us.”

Musaba, 22, joined Ligue One Monaco in June 2020 after catching the eye for NEC Nijmegen in Holland and has since had loan stints at Cercle Brugge in Belgium, Heerenveen in Holland, French outfit Metz and back with Nijmegen.
Meanwhile, defender Bambo Diaby, who joined us on Wednesday, will be unavailable to face Southampton in our Championship opener on Friday evening as he will be serving the fourth game of a four-game ban while playing for Preston towards the end of last season.
