Goals from Sam Winnall and Gary Hooper saw Wednesday make it six pre-season games unbeaten with a 2-1 win at Doncaster on Wednesday evening.
Backed by just under 4,000 fans – more than half the attendance of 7,366 – the Owls went ahead on the half-hour mark when Winnall headed home from a Ross Wallace cross.
Rovers levelled just before the interval, Liam Mandeville nodding home, but half-time substitute Hooper grabbed the winner on 66 minutes when he broke clear and lobbed the ball over keeper Marko Marosi before netting.
Glenn Loovens also had his first runout of the pre-season after a hamstring injury, playing the final 18 minutes of the game.
