Carlos Carvalhal has to decide whether to recall Fernando Forestieri for Tuesday evening’s trip to Burton Albion.
Forestieri apologised to the head coach and the Wednesday squad after refusing to travel to Norwich for Saturday’s game, amidst reports linking him with a big money move away from Hillsborough.
The striker has reportedly been fined for his no-show at Carrow Road but, having said sorry to the club for his actions, he is expected to be at least on the bench for the trip to the Pirelli Stadium.
Steven Fletcher, who came on as sub at Norwich after having 10 stitches in a head wound sustained in the opening game against Villa, could be back in the starting line-up.
He impressed against the Canaries when he replaced the largely ineffective Gary Hooper for the last 20 minutes and Carvalhal may decide to start with the former Sunderland man.
