We’re not getting carried away says Carlos

Carlos Carvalhal continued to keep his feet firmly on the ground after victory at Huddersfield took us above Derby into fifth place in the Championship promotion shake-up.

Following a third successive league win, the head coach said: “The players don’t play like they are under pressure or too excited. I understand why the fans get excited, but we just keep focus on the next games.

“If you go in the dressing room now the players are quiet, drinking water, having a shower … everything is normal.”

Reflecting on the Huddersfield performance, he said: “The players were unbelievable. Our players are focused and they are doing exactly what we intended for them to do.

“We knew we would get our moment and when that moment came Forestieri took his chance.”

The single goal win also means we have not conceded in the last four Championship games but Carvalhal said: “We don’t care about clean sheets. We want to create chances and score goals.”
