Barry Bannan is confident he will be ready for action again after the international break following an injury scare at Bristol City on Sunday.
Bannan was injured during the win at Ashton Gate and, although he played on after receiving treatment, he was subbed later in the game, with manager Jos Luhukay saying afterwards: “With Barry, I’m a little bit scared that it is the groin injury he had last season before I came to the club.”
He added that he hoped “it is only a little bit of a warning” and Bannan tweeted on Sunday evening: ‘Great three points again today before the break. Groin is ok, nothing too bad, good rest and back again after this break’.
Steven Fletcher was substituted early in the game with a back injury and Luhukay says he will await a medical update on the striker.
