Wednesday quintet on international duty

Five Wednesday players are on international duty in the coming days … starting with young defender Gabriel Otegbayo in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad.

Otegbayo has been called up for two friendlies against Sweden’s under-21s, the first being away tomorrow (Thursday) kick off noon (UK time), and then the return in the Republic on Sunday, kick off 2pm.

Di’Shon Bernard is in the Jamaica squad for their two-legged CONCACAF Nations League quarter final against the United States, the first leg at home on Friday, kick off 1am (UK time) and the second leg in the States next Tuesday, kick off again at 1am (UK time).

Brothers Pierce and Shea Charles are both in the Northern Ireland squad for their two UEFA Nations League games, at home to Belarus on Friday evening, kick off 7.45pm, and then away to Luxembourg next Monday, kick off 7.45pm (UK time).

James Beadle completes the international quintet, having been selected for the England under-21s for their two upcoming away friendlies, against Spain’s under-21s on Friday, kick off 5.30pm (UK time) and then meeting their Netherlands counterparts on Monday, kick off 5.45pm (UK time).
