Danny Rohl said Wednesday were well worth their point after Jeff Hendrick’s 93rd minute strike salvaged a 1-1 draw against table-topping Leicester.
Speaking after Wednesday night’s battling display at S6, the Owls boss said : “It’s massive and we deserved the point.
“I spoke before the game with my players that I’d need my first eleven to come good in the game and then my subs to finish it. We did that, we had a clear strategy and it was good to see.
“The players did so very well today. When you look how we played against the first in the table, how we pressed and how we played football.
“We had two big chances in the first five minutes to go in the lead. We believed in our match plan and we did well.”
He added: “It was good to see our energy from the bench and the energy in the stadium.
“Everyone recognised today that we’re alive, that we fight for our way and we played some good football.”
