Svante Ingelsson is set to return to the Wednesday squad as play-off chasing Millwall come to Hillsborough tomorrow.

The midfielder missed last weekend’s heavy defeat at Swansea but is likely to be in the starting line-up against a Lions side expected to include former Owls skipper Barry Bannan for his first return to S6 since his move to London last month.

Liam Cooper is a doubt and will be assessed ahead of the game while transfer window loan pair of  defender Tayo Adaramola and forward Joel Ndala, along with experienced midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, could all be in line for home debuts.

The reverse at Swansea stretched our winless run to 26 games, without a league victory at Hillsborough all season and having failed to score a goal since Boxing Day.

Speaking of how the squad are responding to such a record, Pedersen said: “We all try to help each other to keep the players fresh in mind and to create more hunger every day.

“We want to do more. We want to make higher standards because we want to come back on the board where we get points again. We all want to win football games, have points but then when you’re not winning for a period and not even scoring, then of course it’s difficult.

“The players train with this open chest, they train with a big heart, they train because they can feel, hey, we need more, we need more and we have to do more.

“We want to have points, we want to win games again, we want to get to plus points again and that’s why everyone is working so, so, so hard.

“They are working to do the best every day so we can compete in the best possible way, not only against Millwall but also in the future.

“We have done a lot to keep as high a level as possible, it can be really difficult to be in such an environment and then always bring yourself back up again.

“But we will always give 100 per cent.”
