Wednesday have signed Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe on a month’s loan.
The 32-year-old Mali international has been sidelined with serious knee and achilles tendon injuries but is now ready to return to action and Dave Jones will welcome him to a Wednesday frontline which is desperate for some added firepower.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis said: “It’s been a long, long road back and an incredibly tough time for Mamady, but he’s now got an excellent chance to get out on a football pitch again and play for a top club at Championship level. I know he will be in good hands playing for Dave Jones.”
Joining Sidibe at S6, also on a month’s loan, is 20-year-old Manchester City left back Jeremy Helan and both players can be expected to figure in the home game with Leicester on Saturday.
