Paterson injury blow ahead of Ipswich clash

Callum Paterson could be out for the rest of the season after the injury suffered against Plymouth last weekend.

The versatile Paterson has been showing some of his best form in a Wednesday shirt in recent weeks but pulled up with a muscle problem in the second half against the Pilgrims, having already scored the crucial goal.

Darren Moore said today, ahead of tomorrow’s top-of-the-table clash at Ipswich, that the results of scans show Paterson will definitely be out for several weeks and possibly for the remainder of the campaign.

Moore added that Reece James is 50-50 for the Ipswich trip after being sidelined with an ankle injury picked up at Wycombe last month.

We go into the match top of the division one table on 61 points, ahead of Plymouth on goal difference and six points clear of third-placed Ipswich – also having a game in hand on both of them.

Plymouth, looking to bounce back after the defeat to us, are at home to Portsmouth tomorrow.
