Pair to miss Bolton clash … Johnson in contention after ban

George Byers and Dominic Iorfa will both miss tomorrow night’s home clash with play-off chasing Bolton.

Byers has not recovered from the muscle injury which forced him off in the first half against Portsmouth last Saturday while Iorfa is suspended for the match after being sent off at Pompey.

On the plus side, Marvin Johnson is likely to be back in the squad after serving his three-game ban.

Wednesday are expecting a bumper Friday night Hillsborough crowd against a Bolton side who currently sit in the final play-off place.

We go into the fixture three points clear at the top of the division one table and with two games in hand on nearest promotion rivals, Plymouth and Ipswich. Wednesday will be looking to take our unbeaten league run to 23 matches but, more importantly, aiming to put pressure on the chasing duo who play on Saturday.

Plymouth are at home to bottom club Forest Green while Ipswich entertain Shrewsbury and fourth-placed Barnsley, still eyeing an automatic promotion place, travel to play-off chasing Wycombe.
