Pair ready to rejoin squad as Owls prepare for Pompey test

Reece James and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are both back to full fitness as Wednesday take our promotion challenge to Portsmouth tomorrow.

James (illness) and Dele-Bashiru (ankle) had to  miss last weekend’s 1-0 win over Peterborough but are in contention to rejoin the squad against Pompey, with keeper David Stockdale also expected to return on the bench after his hip problem.

Marvin Johnson is still unavailable as he serves the final match of his three-game suspension.

We go into the match at the head of division one and looking to stretch our unbeaten league run to 22 games while opponents Portsmouth have won three of their last four league fixtures but lost 3-1 at Barnsley on Tuesday evening.

Second-placed Plymouth drew level on points with us in midweek after their 2-1 win over Derby, although we have two games in hand and a superior goal difference, while Ipswich in third are now five points behind us following their victory against Accrington on Tuesday but have also played two more matches than us.

The Pilgrims are at fourth-placed Barnsley tomorrow while the Tractor Boys travel to face Bolton in fifth.
