Carlos Carvalhal was left disappointed with Wednesday’s first-half display as our unbeaten pre-season record ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Rangers.
The head coach said afterwards: “In the first half we were milky, we did not play very well, this was not the brand of Sheffield Wednesday.
“Rangers were better than us so we had to improve for the second half and we did.”
The visitors, backed by 7,000 fans, won through goals from Josh Windass and Kenny Miller either side of the interval and ran out deserved winners.
