Atdhe Nuhiu fired Wednesday into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a second-half winner against Fulham at Hillsborough this afternoon.
Nuhiu came off the bench to crack home the winner from the edge of the box 17 minutes from time in a patchy performance from the Owls.
Carlos Carvalhal left out Fernando Forestieri and Nuhiu from the starting eleven that faced the same opponents in the league seven days ago, while loanee Gary Hooper was ruled out by parent club, Norwich, to avoid him being cup-tied.
Barry Bannan had put us in front just before half-time with a tremendous drive, only for Wednesday to switch off and allow Moussa Dembele to equalise within 90 seconds.
Fulham then looked the more likely winners in the early part of the second half before Nuhiu struck to put us in the draw for the fourth round on Monday evening.
