Striker Ashley Fletcher has joined Wednesday on a season-long loan from Watford.
Owls boss Xisco Munoz signed the 27-year-old in 2021 when he was manager at Vicarage Road, following the Hornets promotion to the Premier League, and now they are reunited as the Wednesday squad starts to reshape.
Fletcher began his career as a youngster at Manchester United and had a loan spell at Barnsley in 2016 before joining West Ham on a permanent basis. However, he moved again in 2017 when he signed for Middlesbrough and made 108 appearances at the Riverside, scoring 28 goals.
His next permanent move was to Watford but he then spent last season on loan at Wigan in the Championship.
