Moore: The team just doesn’t want to get beaten

Darren Moore spoke of the solidity and efficiency shown by his Wednesday side after the lunchtime 0-0 draw at Derby.

Following a poor game of few chances, Moore told the club website: “It’s a good point, a very determined point and one that we deserved. I don’t think David Stockdale was troubled pretty much throughout the game and while I would’ve liked to have seen more going forward, it’s not always going to be like that.

“You have to show different elements to your game and that’s what we’ve done today. We were thorough, we were determined and I’ve just said to the players now about that efficiency, bottle it and keep it.”

He added in the post-match press conference: “We’ve got an efficiency at the minute that is incredible. We’ve got a solidity that they don’t want to get beat.

“I have to be pleased with a point. As long as we keep racking up those clean sheets, it gives an option to go and win games.”

The draw also saw the Owls extend our impressive league run to just one defeat in 11 games and the manager said: “We want to win games. What I said to the boys was we’re in a position where we are continuing to chase and chip away.

“We were in a position where we could potentially have gone top. We’re still challenging and we have to continue that and stay at it.”
