Midfield pair to miss Huddersfield clash

Wednesday will be without the midfield duo of Barry Bannan and Sam Hutchinson for Saturday’s home clash with Huddersfield.

Bannan is ruled out with his knee injury suffered against Charlton while Hutchinson starts a two-match ban after picking up his 10th booking of the season.

However, Keiren Westwood has recovered from the ankle problem that forced him to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland squad. Modou Sougou and Alex Lopez are back in full training and Marco Matias (hernia) and Michael Turner (knee) are nearing full fitness.

Jose Semedo is likely to be the man to replace Hutchinson in the holding role against Huddersfield while Lewis McGugan, Jeremy Helan, Sougou and Lopez will all come into Carlos Carvalhal’s thoughts for a starting place in the absence of Bannan.
