Wednesday face a Hillsborough replay after being held to a goalless draw by second division Carlisle in our FA Cup third round tie at Brunton Park.
We failed to sore for the third successive game although Atdhe Nuhiu did head against the bar in the second minute and Lucas Joao saw his effort hit the woodwork just before the hour mark.
Wednesday, with George Boyd playing almost 70 minutes after his long lay-off, had more of the game but the home side thought they had gone in front in the second half, only to see Sam Cosgrove’s header effort ruled out for offside.
New boss Jos Luhukay watched from the stands before taking charge on Monday, with the Sheff U derby coming up on Friday.
