Garry Monk will wait until after training on Saturday to see if Tom Lees is fit for our match at Huddersfield 24 hours later.
The Wednesday skipper suffered a hamstring injury in the warm-up before our last Championship game, the 2-1 home defeat to QPR, and Monk says it is “touch and go” whether Lees will be ready to return at Huddersfield.
Fernando Forestieri will be missing as he serves the first game of his six-match FA suspension.
The game also marks Monk’s first game in charge of Wednesday while Huddersfield will also be welcoming Danny Crowley as their manager,
