A Craig Conway goal 10 minutes from time condemned Wednesday to their sixth successive league defeat at Cardiff this afternoon.
The Owls turned in a battling display against the promotion-chasing hosts and defended well for much of the game until Conway’s late heart-breaker.
Gary Madine missed Wednesday’s best chance in the second half with the game goalless at the time and we staged a late rally in search of a last-gasp equaliser. However, it was not to be and we now have to regroup for crucial matches against fellow strugglers Bristol City and Barnsley in the fight to get away from the Championship relegation zone.
