Stuart Gray and Chris Kirkland have missed out on winning the Championship Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards for January.
Gray was shortisted alongside ex-Owl Nigel Pearson (Leicester), Billy Davies (Forest) and Harry Redknapp (QPR) and Pearson has today been named the winner.
Kirkland’s excellent form saw him nominated with Mark Duffy (Doncaster), Adam Le Fondre (Reading) and David Nugent (Leicester) and Le Fondre – who will probably be in the Reading line-up tomorrow – took the players’ award.
