Antonio fit to return to face former club

Michail Antonio could make a surprise return to the Wednesday side for Saturday’s away clash with his former club Reading.

The winger has been in training all week and Stuart Gray says he should be fit for consideration for selection following his lengthy knee problem. He was out for five weeks before returning as a substitute against Blackpool on New Year’s Day, only to tweak the injury in training and then spending another five weeks on the sidelines.

Wednesday will be without the suspended Giles Coke and Jermaine Johnson for the trip and, remarkably, only one player from last Saturday’s starting line-up against Barnsley – Chris Kirkland – was in the team which began in the 5-2 win over the Royals back in November.
