Wednesday’s new goalkeeping coach, Salvatore Bibbo, says he’s looking forward to the challenge of joining the Owls and working alongside Danny Rohl.
‘Sal’ was Arsenal’s first-team goalkeeping coach for five years, working with the likes of Petr Cech, Bernd Leno and Emi Martinez, before joining Brighton, where he took charge of their under-21 keepers.
Talking of his new role at S6, Bibbo told the club website: “I’m really pleased to be here and at a club with a lot of history. I know the city well, I’m really happy to join Danny’s team and looking forward to it.
“I’m ready for the challenge ahead, I can see the energy here and I want to be part of a real positive future for the football club.
“We have really good guys here. I know Chris Powell well, I’ve met all the guys this morning and I’m looking forward to building a good relationship with them.”
