Dave Jones was left rueing another debatable refereeing decision as Wednesday fought back to earn a 1-1 draw at Barnsley.
Jones felt we should have had a second-half penalty when Reds defender Jean-Yves M’voto handled in the box, only for the official to wave play on.
Jones said: “Their defender punched the ball away – the ref has got to see it.”
He added: “All I’m asking is that they get the big decisions right.”
Marcus Pederson had fired Barnsley into a 16th-minute lead after a mistake by Reda Johnson but Matty Fryatt levelled the scores on the hour with an excellent volley.
Talking of the performance, Jones pointed to an improved second-half after bringing on Atdhe Nuhiu up front, and said: “I think it was fair. They were better than us in the first half but we looked better in the second.
“We’ve taken the game to them, created chances and if anyone looked like they were going to get a winner, it was us.”
