As expected, Marvin Johnson has been omitted from Wednesday’s squad for the 2023-24 season, published by the EFL on Thursday evening.
There is also no place for summer signing Momo Diaby, who appeared to suffer a serious injury against Preston last month, or for young defender Ciaran Brennan.
However, at this stage the Owls have only named 24 of the permitted 25-man squad and this means we can add a free agent, or one of Diaby, Johnson or Brennan, to the group before the start of the New Year.
