Carlos Carvalhal admitted he was disappointed with Wednesday’s first-half performance after taking three points in the derby at Rotherham on Friday night.
The head coach said: “It was a tough game, especially in the first half and we told the players at half time that we needed to play with more heart.”
He said he asked Barry Bannan to play further forward after the interval and added: “I felt we controlled the game in the second half after those two early goals.”
