Wednesday have confirmed that Matty Fryatt has extended his loan spell at Hillsborough for another month.
The Hull City striker hit two goals in four starts in his initial loan spell and indicated after Saturday’s draw at Barnsley that he was keen to exend his time at Wednesday. Now Tigers’ boss Steve Bruce has agreed to the 27-year-old spending another month at S6, as he continues to gain match fitness after a long injury lay-off.
It’s news that will be welcomed by the long-suffering fans, who will also be hoping that Fryatt is given support up front by Dave Jones playing two strikers – at least at home – and starting with the game against Reading on Saturday.
