Darren Moore is likely to shuffle his pack for tonight’s Papa John’s Trophy second round tie at home to Hartlepool.
Injuries restrict changes for the Owls boss to some degree and he has indicated that he will rotate his squad as the Owls face another hefty fixture list during December.
Joe Wildsmith can be expected to start in goal in place of Bailey Peacock-Farrell while Nathaniel Mendez-Laing could start after an impressive debut as a second-half substitute against Wycombe on Saturday.
In addition, David Agbontohoma, Jaden Brown, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Lewis Wing, George Byers, Saido Berahino and Sylla Sow may all start as Moore looks to rest some of his regular starters to the bench.
Victory over Hartlepool would take Wednesday through to the last 16 of the competition and this evening’s game at Hillsborough kicks off at 7pm.
