Danny Rohl reflected on the need for Wednesday to be sharper in both penalty areas following our 4-0 defeat at Burnley on Friday night.
After seeing Wednesday outplay the promotion-chasing home side for 55 minutes but miss several chances, while also making costly mistakes at the other end, Rohl said: “I think we saw today the importance to have quality in both boxes, they were very clinical.
“We created chances in the first half, we then started the second half very well and had good moments but conceded again.
“From then on it’s hard.
“We’re doing well between both boxes but in such games you need to be strong in the boxes as well.
“It was an 80 per cent good performance and 20 per cent maybe not, but this final 20 per cent is the most important.”
Rohl said he didn’t think the performance warranted a 4-0 scoreline and, looking ahead, added: “We know in this period ahead of the international break there are tough, tough games.
“The first thing we have to do is get 50 points, then we can look for further ahead.”
