Danny Rohl can once again be expected to name several squad players in the starting line-up when he takes the Owls to Blackpool in the Carabao Cup third round this evening.
With a tough Championship trip to Luton on Saturday, Rohl is likely to use his squad to the full in the cup tie, at the same time giving those fringe players a chance to impress.
Steve Bruce, who left Wednesday for Newcastle in controversial circumstances in 2019 after joining us just a few months earlier, took over at division one Blackpool a fortnight ago while ex-Owls Jordan Rhodes and keeper Richard O’ Donnell are both likely to be in the Tangerines squad.
