Bailey Cadamarteri has left Wednesday to join Wrexham in a deadline day move reported to be worth £1m to our cash-strapped club.
The 20-year-old striker has been connected with the Owls since the age of nine, rising through our academy before signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2o22.
He went on loan to Lincoln for the 2024-25 season before returning to Hillsborough and chalked up 57 appearances in total for us, scoring seven goals.
Cadamarteri also represented England at under-19 level before he switched to Jamaica.
He said on social media: “After 11 unforgettable years my time at Sheffield Wednesday has come to an end. I’m proud to have been able to call this my home and grateful to everyone involved with the club for all the support they’ve given me in kickstarting my career.
”To the fans, I know this season has been tough for everyone but I can’t thank you all enough for the support you’ve shown me during my time at my club.
”Sheffield Wednesday will always hold a strong place in my heart and I wish everyone at the club all the best. It is time for me to take on a new challenge. “
Good luck, Bailey, in your future career.
