Gray hopes for Loovens return against Bolton

Glenn Loovens is expected to come into consideration for a return to the side for Saturday’s final home game of the season against Bolton.

Loovens has been struggling with a hamstring injury that forced him off against Leicester at the start of this month and failed to make the starting line-up for either of the Easter games.

Stuart Gray says Loovens is likely to have an injection in his back during the week and is hopeful that he will return to training and be fit enough to be considered for the Bolton clash.

Meanwhile, Liam Palmer may be a doubt after suffering a groin inuury during the Charlton defeat but Gray also confirmed that there is no injury problem surrounding Michail Antonio. The winger was substituted after an ineffective first-half performance against Charlton and Gray said the change was for “tactical reasons”.
