Stuart Gray will be holding talks with Milan Mandaric in the near future to start planning for next season … but striker Matty Fryatt could soon be off the radar.
The head coach says he had an agreement that any such discussions would wait until Wednesday were safe and, with the Good Friday victory at Bournemouth ensuring that, he is now preparing to meet with Mandaric to discuss the way ahead.
Gray said: “I am clear in my own mind about how I want to take the club forward.”
He added that he would be expecting to meet with the chairman in the coming days, to discuss what funds are available, to put forward his thoughts on which new faces he would like to bring in and which out-of-contract players he wants to keep at S6.
However, one possible target – Hull City striker Fryatt, who impressed in a loan spell earlier this season – is ready to be offered a new contract by the Tigers.
