Carlos Carvalhal is hoping Wednesday are drawn at home to a top Premier League side in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Looking towards Monday evening’s draw, Carvalhal said: “I’d prefer to play a big team and here at Hillsborough. Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United or something like that … I’d like to play a team like that, of course.”
Reflecting on the third round victory over Fulham, Carvalhal felt it was a typical cup tie, with both teams going for the win.
He also confirmed that Norwich had blocked loanee Gary Hooper playing as they did not want him cup-tied. However, he said Hooper also had a slight injury anyway, while he hopes Fernando Forestieri will be fit for Tuesday’s league game with Bolton after missing the cup tie with a minor problem.
The win over Fulham means Wednesday have now lost just once in 16 home games this season and Carvalhal added: “We have a good environment at Hillsborough. We are winning a lot of games here and it is a very difficult stadium for our opponents to come to at the moment.”
