Keiren Westwood will be fit to return to the Wednesday squad for Saturday’s home game with Nottingham Forest.
The keeper missed the Capital One Cup win over Arsenal because of an ankle injury but Carlos Carvalhal said today that the keeper has had an injection and is available again.
He also hopes that Sam Hutchinson and Barry Bannan will make the squad after suffering from fatigue against the Gunners and said that, of the other injured players, Alex Lopez is closest to making a return to action.
