Team Lineups

Wednesday well beaten in warm-up match

Wednesday were on the end of a four-goal defeat to FC Salzburg in our ‘behind closed doors’ friendly in Austria this afternoon.

The home side scored twice in each half to underline their Champions League standing, with Danny Rohl taking the opportunity to field two different starting line-ups for both halves.

James Beadle was outstanding in the opening 45 minutes before manager Rohl introduced a trialist in goal after the break. With Ben Hamer injured and Pierce Charles on international duty, former Nottingham Forest keeper, George Shelvey, played the second period.

The Owls now get back to more pre-season work at their training camp in Germany before taking on Werder Bremen in a second friendly next Friday lunchtime.

First-half line-up: Beadle, Valentin, Iorfa, Famewo, Palmer, Johnson, Kobacki, Bannan, Windass, Musaba, Cadamarteri.

Second half: Trialist, Valery, Diaby, Otegbayo, M. Lowe, Ingelsson, Fusire, Chalobah, Paterson, J. Lowe, McNeill.
