Wednesday face a fourth game in 10 days when we take on Queen’s Park Rangers in West London on Sunday lunchtime.
Our stretched squad suffered another blow when Liam Cooper had to leave the field close to half time at Preston on New Year’s Day with a groin strain.
It means probably losing another experienced player for a period of time and, Cooper aside, Henrik Pedersen is expected to choose from the same group who were well beaten 3-0 at Deepdale.
With ourselves sitting on minus seven points at the bottom of the Championship and a return to division one already just about certain, we continue to look for a long-awaited first win since that 2-0 victory at Portsmouth back in September … 18 games ago.
Opponents QPR, who have been inconsistent so far this season, lost at home to Norwich on New Year’s Day. They sit in mid-table and only five points away from the play-off places.
The match is a midday kick off.
