We need to perform over 90 minutes says manager Munoz

Xisco Munoz talked of a performance of two halves after seeing Wednesday go down 4-2 at Hull this afternoon.

Having watched the Owls take the lead but then concede four goals, three of them in the second period, the manager said: “Today, I have two different opinions.

“The first half I think the team was in the game and this is the sort of performance that we want but in the second half we were very far from what we want.”

He added: “We need to perform over 90 minutes. We’re not ready to do this yet, due to different situations. We need to not only perform for 45 or 75. It’s about all the game.

“We need to find the solution to not conceding goals. If we are thinking we can come here and win 5-4, it’s impossible. We need to improve in what we have talked about with clean sheets.”

Barry Bannan pulled up during the first half and was substituted at half time, Munoz revealing that the skipper went into the game carrying an ankle injury from the midweek cup tie with Stockport and was unable to continue for the second 45.
