‘We need to be in the game from start to finish’ says boss Danny

Wednesday face another ‘must-win’ game at Millwall tomorrow as the fight to avoid an instant drop back to division one continues.

Defeat at leaders Leicester on Tuesday evening, coupled with midweek wins for fellow strugglers Huddersfield, Birmingham and Stoke, leaves us seven points from safety with only 14 matches remaining.

Opponents Millwall sit in that first survival place, having lost 4-0 at home to Ipswich on Wednesday night and looking for their first victory since New Year’s Day.

Ahead of the game, Danny Rohl has called for the squad to be up for the fight from beginning to end at the New Den.

The boss said: “This is the Championship and it is about making sure all the things from the very beginning are right. To be always in the game, stay in the game and then be ruthless in the right moments.

“We have 14 games to go, it is not so many games until the end of the season and it is about taking results – everybody knows this, the players, myself and supporters.

“It’s about results. It is not enough after the game to say we did well.

“We need to be ready for the fight and it will be a hard fight against a strong physical side.”

We have no further injury problems following the defeat at the King Power, Rohl confirming that recent loan signing Kristian Pedersen will be sidelined for several weeks.

Akin Famewo also continues to be ruled out while long-term absentee Dominic Iorfa could continue his recovery for the under-21s in midweek.

Of the other teams around us in the relegation area, QPR are at Bristol City tomorrow, Birmingham entertain Sunderland, Huddersfield host Hull and Stoke are at home to Coventry, while bottom club Rotherham face Watford at the New York Stadium.
