Gary Megson was left both frustrated and angry after Tuesday evening’s 1-1 draw at MK Dons.
After dominating possession in the second half, Megson said: “We were terrific. We bossed it from start to finish. We both had one shot in the first half. We were really unfortunate with their goal when it hit the bar and went in off Stephen Bywater.
“We knew they would be struggling with set pieces all the way through so we had to be direct at times and in the second half we had seven chances. They hardly got out of their half in the second half.”
However, those chances rarely produced a save from home keeper David Martin and Megson added: ” Our cutting edge wasn’t there for the amount of possession we had.”
His anger came from a second-half incident when home boss Karl Robinson was sent to the stands after a clash with Reda Johnson as the player tried to retrieve the ball.
Johnson claims that Robinson had his hands around his throat and Megson, who stayed clear of the incident at the time, said: “You don’t touch players, you certainly don’t touch mine.”
