‘We have to see it as a good point’

Garry Monk took the positives from Wednesday’s draw at Derby, despite also feeling the disappointment of not taking all three points.

He said: “In the first 30 minutes we were on the front foot, should have won it but we could have lost it with the situation at the end, down to ten men, so we have to see it as a good point.

“It’s tough to take but this is a hard place to come and we’ve taken the game to Derby from the start.”

Referring to Derby’s harsh-looking penalty for a foul by Moses Odubajo, Monk said: “I haven’t watched it back but my thought at the time was it wasn’t a penalty – but it gave the referee a decision to make.”
