Danny Rohl has reflected on his 12 months at the Hillsborough helm as the Wednesday boss today celebrates one year at Wednesday.
We were cut adrift at the foot of the Championship without a win in 13 games and looking relegation certainties when Rohl walked through the doors of S6 for the first time.
He immediately set about transforming the club in all sorts of ways, both on and off the field, and steered Wednesday to a remarkable revival which, as we all know, saw us escaping relegation in that tense climax to a rollercoaster of a season.
Now, as he looks to continue to build on that upturn in fortunes, Rohl says: “Three hundred and sixty five days full of passion, emotions, ups and downs, setbacks and many unforgettable moments with our incredible fans.
“I am proud of my team, who never give up, play with 100 per cent and show incredible character on our journey.
“I have met many great people who give everything for our club, support me every day and are always there for our players.
“A big thank you to our massive fans for the extraordinary appreciation you have shown me since day one.
“I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a unique club and will do my best for our club every day. Together into a successful future, where improvement and development has no finish line.”
