Miguel Llera goes into what promises to be a feisty Yorkshire relegation battle with Barnsley on Saturday knowing that he is only one booking away from a two-match ban.
The central defender has nine yellow cards to his name – the last of them coming at Birmingham last month – and a further booking before the cut-off date of April 14 would signal him missing two games at this crucial time of the season.
If he survives the Barnsley clash without a yellow card then he faces four more games with the suspension threat hanging over him. However, if he gets to April 14 with no further bookings then he will be able to play in the season’s remaining four fixtures – regardless of whether he receives further yellow cards after that time.
